Chief Accountant in FMCG company

Support accounting function so that financial transactions, policies, systems, and procedures meet the country’s short and long-term business objectives and comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards in MSU and MU (if applicable). Activities include reporting statutory, tax; support of corporate accounting, credit control, currency control;
Responsible for identifying tax risks and its immediate communication to the cluster management, corrective actions implementation to minimize tax risks, including Tax Self Assessment and Audit results;
Provides technical expertise and advice on tax accounting issues to functional / operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets;
Prepares and submits timely and effectively statutory and tax reporting;
Owns the process of local and tax reporting alignment with PwC and Deloitte/BDO and cluster management (FD, Tax Manager, FEC Manager);
Responsible for correct adoption of all local taxes and levies imposed by any governmental authority, i.e.
VAT, income tax, payroll taxes, WHT, etc., liaises with cluster Tax Manager;
Responsible that local books comply with local legislation;
Leads and ensures successful local books audit (where applicable), sets up the process with cluster FEC organization in the most efficient way;
Leads and ensures successful tax books audit, sets up the process with cluster FEC organization and Tax
Manager in the most efficient way, and all departments, prepares in advance defense files to pass tax audit with 0 fines;
Maintains internal document flow, documentations and various systems for statutory and tax reporting purposes, cooperates with accountants and other departments to ensure the process is in place;
Sets up process/system of primary, accounting documentation, other evidences filing / archiving;
Provides regular reconciliation of corporate books vs local and vs tax;
Participates (or leads) balance sheet reviews for the country, owns balance sheet items, analyses and follows up on BS clearness and transparency;
Participates in Period End Closing as per FEC Manager recommendation and monthly/quarterly/annual schedules;
Performs statutory and tax period closing;
Ensure the compliance with Internal controls processes and procedures with focus on taxes. Identify any potential areas of non-conformity and reports them to cluster management;
Acts as control performer for relevant controls;
Ensures all books are maintained in corporate system SAP with full reconciliation btw books;
Supports R4E mindset in the function and implements/participates in respective projects. Ensure local books, tax process and work standardization in the country;
Supports Treasury processes in cooperation with Treasury Manager/FEC Manager, ensures cost effectiveness of bank fees in cooperation with Treasury Manager / FD;
Executes Finance related special projects;
As FLT member participates in leading, directing, evaluating, and developing a team to ensure that the organization’s accounting activities are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently and according to relevant regulations, laws, and standards;
Cooperates closely with FD to implement company's finance strategy locally;
Supports any ad-hock requests from UAEECA FD, HQ, etc.;
Conducts trainings on documents flow improvement to avoid VAT and CIT losses;
UTP and CIT questioner preparation for review with cluster Tax Manager;
Provide tax support for different HR matters (incentive trips, benefit, secondment process, work permit);
Supports TP report and responsible for CIT adjustments based on BMS results;
Prepare tax response upon Tax Authorities requests and review with cluster Tax Manager and FD;
Identify % rate WHT (HQ service, GIS, Royalty, foreign service);
Responsible for collection of MF backups supporting documentation and internal reports drafting for tax deductibility purposes of HQ service;
Responsible for timely submission of requests and settlement with tax authorities, social security, etc.;
Leads inventory taking of fixed assets in cooperation with IT and admin. Cooperates with SC on inventory taking of finished goods;
Forms accounting policy in accordance with accounting legislation;
Lead the documents archiving and utilization process.

Требования к опыту:
Must have
— >3 years of Chief Accountant experience;
— Proven track record for tax compliance works, tax audit support, local books audit support;
— as a MUST 3 years General Ledger (closing financial statements according local GAAP);
— Strong countries’ tax codes knowledge;
— Strong results-orientation;
— Knowledge of SAP;
— Knowledge of Internal Control systems, IFRS GAAP, Local GAAP;
— Fluent English.
