F&B Outlet Manager

FULL-TIME, ON-SITE POSITION THAT REQUIRES RELOCATION TO SHCHUCHINSK (AKMOLA OBLAST', KAZAKHSTAN)

LOCATION: Shchuchinsk, Kazakhstan.

POSITION PURPOSE: Serves as first-hand support to F&B Operations Manager and Director of F&B, and will lead the team to create unforgettable Food & Beverage experiences for our guests and strive to achieve revenue for the F&B outlets. Areas of responsibility include Restaurants (Chalet, L’Olivo, Masala), Bars (Lobby Bar, La Volna Bar, Shamrock Karaoke Bar), Summer Café, Sunset Terrace, and Room Service and Minibar. Supervises daily F&B outlet’s operations and assists with menu planning, maintains sanitation standards and assists servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance in areas of responsibility. Determines training needed to accomplish goals, then implements plan.
Leading Food and Beverage Team
• Provide the leadership, vision and direction to bring together and prioritize the departmental goals in a way that will be efficient and effective
• Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
• Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocate sound financial/business decision making; demonstrate honesty/integrity; lead by example
• Identify the developmental needs of others and coaches, mentors, or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills
• Ensure and maintain the productivity level of employees
• Ensure compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards and procedures by training, supervising, follow-up and hands on management
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work
• Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards, and with all applicable laws and regulations (including liquor, alcohol beverage service laws)

Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities
•Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and performance management throughout the year
•Solicit employee feedback, utilizes an ''open door'' policy and review employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns
•Ensure recognition is taking place across areas of responsibility
•Identify training needs and ensure employees receive on-going training to understand guest expectations
REQUIRED and WHAT MAKES YOU EXTRAORDINARY FOR THIS ROLE:
•Minimum 4 years’ experience in F&B operations, with 2 years’ experience in a senior role (premium and luxury hotels & resorts experience preferred). Experience of working with brand standards
•Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management / Food & Beverage will be beneficial, whilst not a must
•Working knowledge of various computer software program (MS Office, Restaurant management software, POS, Micros Fidelio)
•Proficiency in Russian and English, Kazakh language will be an advantage
•Up to date with food & Beverage trends and best practice
•Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, a team player & builder with an eye for detail, and commitment to doing everything you can to get it right first time for our guests and colleagues
•Highly organized, result oriented with the ability to be flexible with hours, days off, assignments and additional duties
