Central Asia & Caucasus Region Counsel

• The position will be involved in providing general legal adviceand support the Region with significant focus on Compliance.
• Perform a variety of duties relating to legal issues of varying difficulty.
• Collaborating closely with the Area General Counsel, s/he will be involved in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements such as distribution, supply, sales, information technology, procurement, and supply chain agreements, amongst others.
• S/he will be responsible for applying GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) standards, supporting the development of Group templates and clauses, and managing contract standards.
• Carries out special projects at the request of the Area International General Counsel.
• Keeps the Area International General Counsel apprised of legal and regulatory matters in the Region and consult as appropriate.

• Outstanding academic credentials.
• Graduate attorney/lawyer – equivalent to Juris Doctor (J.D)/Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) – from an accredited law school and licensed to practise as a lawyer.
• An advanced postgraduate degree and/or a Master of Laws (LL.M.). is a plus.
• 6 – 10 years of experience as an attorney/lawyer in a law firm and/or corporation (some in-house experience in counselingcorporations preferred).
• A minimum of 6 + years Post-Qualified Experience is required.
• Experience at FMCG industry or retail business environment is a plus.
• Related work experience in compliance is required.
• Excellent breadth of legal Regional knowledge the candidate will have excellent command of the law.
• Experience with compliance training and a track record of implementing and creating a proactive compliance culture in which compliance and business objectives are mutually reinforcing.
